Find your favorite flavor
First things first. Make your party cooler than cool and serve Edy's Slow Churned®
light ice cream. Here are 10 more tips to get your party started.
- Try to start planning at least four to six weeks in advance so you'll never leave anything to chance.
- Get everyone involved by creating committees for decorating, entertainment, invitations, setup and cleanup.
- Pick a place in your neighborhood that can handle
the number of guests — common ground, a neighborhood
park or a cul de sac are ideal. - Establish a budget and have everyone in the neighborhood
share expenses. - Create a guest list spreadsheet to keep track of who's coming and who's not.
- Always have a backup venue in case you have to move the party indoors due to weather.
- Mail or deliver your invitations two to three weeks in advance.
- Entertainment is a key component, especially for kids. Incorporate music, games and live entertainment (like a clown, face painter or magician), or get your community heroes involved by inviting them to bring a station fire truck or police vehicle.
- Stay organized by keeping everything related to your party in one binder or folder. And don't forget your party checklist!
- Relax and remember: Throwing a party is supposed to be fun!
